Lava Mug (Red Clay)

The texture of lava or the surface of the moon, the feeling of being close to the elements. Warmth and comfort, wildness and safety. My lava mugs are an expression of my love for the natural world. 

I made a small series of lava mugs from a gorgeous red clay. These are made entirely by hand. No wheel involved. There are 4 available and you will receive one. There is some variation among them but they measure around 6,5 cm in height and 9 cm in diameter. 

The outside features my matte glaze and my lava glaze and the inside features my matte white glaze. 

It is handmade so it is not a perfect round object. 

All my pieces are handmade by me in my Berlin studio. They feature glazes I made and formulated. I recommend hand-washing this particular mug.
